Want to get in shape and discover a healthier lifestyle? Have you tried exercising but have trouble getting started?
The “We ♥ Fitness” program is looking for healthy adults, age 18 and older, to test a new exercise program. Our program provides 12 weeks of personal training using standard aerobic exercise equipment or exercise videogames. All study participants will get advanced health testing including cardiovascular fitness testing, a cholesterol check and body composition analysis. There is no cost for participating.

Are you pregnant?
We are looking for healthy, smoking and non-smoking, pregnant women between 12 and 28 weeks into their pregnancy. We are interested in learning how mother’s behaviors and feelings during pregnancy influence the behaviors of her baby.
You will be compensated for your time and may receive a DVD of your baby from a non-diagnostic ultrasound.

A) Research study for girls ages 10-17
The Miriam Hospital is looking for adolescent girls, ages 10-17, to participate in an MRI chatroom research study. The study will look at how girls respond
to different social tasks.
Girls will complete two afternoon sessions and two follow-up sessions at The Miriam Hospital and one afternoon session at Brown University. Both the girl and one
parent will be compensated for their time.

B) Research study for depressed girls ages 10-17
Are you the parent of a girl between 10 and 17 who has been feeling depressed or down but is not taking medications? If so, you and your daughter may be

C) Are you a parent of a girl who is 10-17 years old? Have you ever experienced depression?
If so, you and your daughter may be eligible to participate in an MRI chatroom research study. The study will look at how girls respond to different social
tasks. This study does not involve any medications or treatments.
Project WISH is a research study conducted by The Miriam Hospital to assess women’s opinions about birth control. Your opinions will help scientists create contraceptive products that women can use to prevent pregnancy.

Research Study looking for Men’s and Women’s Opinions
You can help in the fight against HIV! Share your opinions about products designed for women and men to help scientists create products that people want to use. Contact Project DRUM! You will be compensated for your time.
Project DRUM is a research study conducted by The Miriam Hospital to assess men’s and women’s opinions about different products. Your opinions will help scientists create new products that women and men can use to prevent HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.

A Program for Smokers with Mobility Impairments
Are You a Smoker? And do you use a cane, wheelchair, scooter, brace, walker, etc. to help you get around?

The Miriam Hospital is looking for adult smokers to participate in an eight-week smoking cessation research program. Specialists in smoking cessation will work with qualified participants to help them quit smoking successfully.
Participants will complete a group-based, eight-week quit smoking program combined with either a health and wellness program or a yoga program. You may be eligible if you are:
18 years or older
Not currently practicing yoga or mindfulness-based therapy
Not currently pregnant
Smoke at least five or more cigarettes per day, or more
